Job Profile Summary

Under general direction, this position assists the Director of Campus Technology in administering and managing the effective delivery of technical support services to students, faculty, staff, and guests at onsite and remote locations. Serves as a point of contact between the Information Technology and college departments, working together to procure, implement, and support hardware, software, peripherals, and training. Supports the IT department in achieving strategic technology-driven goals related to efficiency and productivity, employee engagement and satisfaction, and provides innovative solutions to drive organizational success.

  

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related program required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • An equivalent of experience and education may be considered.

Minimum Experience/Training:

  • Six years of technical experience with supervisory or lead experience.
  • Relevant experience supporting end-users, technology devices, and software deployment.
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager Configuration (SCCM) and Active Directory 
  • Mobile Deployment Management Tools           

Minimum Certification/Licenses:

  • Required: CompTIA A+
  • Preferred: CompTIA Network +

Essential Functions:

  •  Daily—15% Works in close collaboration with the Director of Campus Technology to provide leadership, direction, and guidance to the department.
  • Daily – 10%: Responsible for overall people management of the area, including recommendation of staffing, hiring, termination and discipline, setting performance standards and evaluating staff, and staff development and training
  • Daily – 15% Oversees the effective resolution of technical issues and requests to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Monitors workload statistics to achieve service level agreement objectives and implement creative solutions within an acceptable timeframe.
  • Daily—10% Identifies opportunities to leverage technology for instructional and operational efficiencies; assesses and recommends new tools to enhance the learning and work environment. Manages the deployment of software and equipment to computer classrooms, offices, event spaces, and other areas.
  • Daily – 10% Provides technical consultation services to guide technology procurement, integration, and maintenance.
  • Weekly –5% Ensures IT staff compliance with relevant laws, regulations, institutional policies, and departmental operating procedures.
  • Weekly – 5% Fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the technical support team, focusing on internal training, degrees, and certifications.
  • Daily—10% Oversees the IT asset inventory and reconciliation of all newly procured technology equipment and software, ensures accurate product tracking, and delivers to the appropriate requesting department. Maintains detailed and up-to-date records of technology purchases and deployment.
  • Weekly - 5%: Attends campus department meetings to provide updates on various Information Technology initiatives.
  • Annually -5% Assists in preparing, monitoring, and administering the department's annual budget, including staffing, equipment, and supplies.
  • Annually - 5%: Acts on behalf of the Director of Campus Technology in his/her absence as directed. 
  • Daily - 5%: Performs related duties as assigned.
