Position Title: Program Manager, MBA and Master of Science Programs

Position Summary or Faculty Qualifications

The Program Manager is the primary administrative contact for new and existing students in the Professional MBA and Master of Science Programs in the Haub School of Business. The incumbent will contribute significantly to student retention and persistence by providing assistance with academic advising, course registration, new student orientations, international student support, graduation & commencement activities, and other initiatives and activities that contribute toward providing an exceptional student experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary day-to-day contact for students in the Professional MBA and Master of Science Programs.

• Communicate daily with students (via email, phone, in-person, social media, etc.) to ensure they are fully informed of academic scheduling and deadlines associated with their programs, assist with course registration, and manage the drop/add and withdrawal process.

• Manage the Satisfactory Academic Progress and work with the University protocol for these issues.

• Create, implement and manage innovative programs that improve the HSB graduate student experience.

• Submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports on student enrollment and headcount.

• Assist with creating course schedules each fall, spring, and summer term. Make recommendations on course selections and number of sections based on student needs.

• Work directly with international students to ensure the needs of students holding visas are met in a timely and quality fashion.

• Work with other Program Managers to facilitate scholarship awards and manage the process for new and existing students.

• Measure student satisfaction and recommend improvements based on the data.

• Work directly with students in their final semester with regard to graduation and manage graduation approvals and commencement activities.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director to ensure enrollment goals are met.

• Assist the Director to ensure academic quality is delivered.

• Support and collaborate on special projects with team members from the Professional MBA and Master of Science Programs.

• Other duties as assigned by the Director

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

• Some evening hours are necessary

• Some travel is required

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience providing customer service

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and processes

• Demonstrated success with providing exceptional high-level customer service

• Demonstrated experience being adaptable, patient, and a self-starter

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability and desire to work with diverse student groups

• Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Saint Joseph’s University

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or M.S.

• Previous professional experience working with graduate students
