Job Description


The Laboratories & Equipment Manager is responsible for the oversight laboratories operations and upkeep of scientific equipment. Establishes and oversees policies and procedures, instrumentation maintenance and calibration, and inventory management and may assist with safety trainings and compliance. Partners with Vice Dean of Research on strategic planning and development opportunities.


Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
Extensive knowledge of laboratory equipment and operations.
At least 10 years of increasing responsibility managing and repairing scientific equipment and instrumentation.
Hands on experience with repairs of a variety of scientific equipment and instrumentation.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
Comfort with varied users from multiple disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using databases and creating reports.
Experience working in interdisciplinary teams.
Experience working autonomously.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:
This position may require occasional domestic travel or performing duties on weekends and/or holidays. High degree of availability via email a significant plus.
