Job Summary
The Director of Multimedia works closely with senior University leadership, University Communications creative/executive teams to develop and execute strategic communications to support University priorities, including public relations, fundraising, recruitment, special events, and student success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Help develop initial concepts, create storyboards, work plans, write/edit scripts, seek approval/input at key points prior to/during production. Create detailed project reports, video/photo activity logs, communicate updates/project status to admin teams. Perform interviews with faculty, staff, students, alumni and help direct video photo shoots. Schedule/scout locations, stay abreast of University events for coverage/documentary opportunities, identify/suggest opportunities. Supervises, integrates, supports, coordinates major University-wide multimedia operations, and supervises the photography and multimedia staff. Serves as the lead project manager responsible for ensuring the strategic alignment of multimedia content, direction, and the coordination of assets across multiple departments/areas such as online communications, editorial design, video services, photography, media relations ensuring high quality products and adherence to critical deadlines. Works closely with the Art Director, Associate VP for Communications to develop innovative creative strategic solutions to support high-priority communications objectives for UTA. Directs planning and organization of a wide variety of multimedia projects. Works independently as project manager on assigned projects to ensure collaboration of other staff, often across departmental lines, to to marshal necessary resources to create, fully execute, and deliver/launch final projects.

Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Fine Arts. 2 years experience in documentary film-making and experience in academic setting or the equivalent experience.
