Job Description

A postdoctoral associate position is available for a highly motivated candidate with a PHD in immunology, virology, molecular biology, or a related discipline. The selected candidate will work independently to design and execute experiments, present results at seminars and scientific meetings, prepare manuscripts, and contribute to grants.

My laboratory studies viral and host factors that contribute to the establishment of persistent viral infections (HIV-1 and Epstein-Barr virus, EBV). The specific project will investigate the role of EBV-specific CD8+ T cells in controlling viral replication or EBV sequence evolution. This includes investigation of structural and functional aspects of the EBV-specific CD8+ T cell receptor repertoire and their relationship to EBV-associated diseases.

We are seeking an individual with a passion for understanding the biology of persistent viral infections. It requires expertise in molecular biology, flow cytometry, tissue culture, and T cell functional assays. Experience with deep sequencing techniques (including RNA seq) and analyses are highly preferred. The position requires fluency in English, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a strong publication record.
