Job Description

Primary Purpose

The tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Human Resource Development will teach and advise in two online programs: the Bachelor of Science in Workplace Training and Leadership and the Master of Science in Human Resource Development, a WICHE Western Regional Graduate Program. The position will advise online and face-to-face, recruit students, secure grants, and provide service to the College, University, and the Human Resource Development (HRD) profession.

Key Responsibilities

● Teach three classes per semester, primarily online (asynchronous) (40%)
● Advise undergraduate and graduate students, face-to-face and remotely (15%)
● Guide masters research capstone projects and practica (10%)
● Provide service to the Program, College, University, and Profession (10%)
● Engage in creative and productive scholarly research and grant funding (20%)
● Participate in inter-college collaboration (e.g., health sciences) (5%).

Minimum Qualifications

Earned doctorate focusing on training and development, organizational improvement, organizational psychology, health professions, or other HRD related field is required by start date. Commitment to an active research agenda.

Preferred Qualifications

University teaching experience, especially in online formats. Experience and deep expertise in training and development or organizational leadership studies. Experience advising and directing graduate projects face-to-face and at a distance. Experience providing service at college, university, and professional levels. History of scholarly publication and grant activity. Experience in healthcare desired.

Priority consideration will be given to applications received by January 20, 2019. However, the position will remain open until filled. Salary range has been approved from $54,000 to $65,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package.
