Job Description

Essential Functions (Job Duties) Teach three courses per term in lighting, sound, and projection, or provide equivalent service; mentor student lighting and sound designers; support the lighting, sound, and projection needs of department productions and venues; and supervise student production crews and work-study students. In addition s/he will be expected to undertake research/creative activity and service sufficient to qualify for promotion and tenure.
Unique Duties The new faculty member will also contribute to development of lighting and sound practice for a new performing arts center and contribute to graduate and undergraduate curriculum development.
Qualifications MFA in Theatre required with an emphasis in lighting and/or sound; experience in professional lighting and sound design; and familiarity with current technology in entertainment lighting, sound, and computer software and drafting.
Preferred Qualifications Additional consideration will be given to candidates who have experience in projection design and technology.
