The post-doctoral scholar will have plenty opportunities to work on manuscript writing (opportunities to publish as the first author), to learn about grant writing, to develop independent studies and provide mentoring to undergraduates/graduates. The scholar will have access to several datasets. The scholar will have opportunities to work with experienced mentors to develop new projects surrounding Enhanced Recovery After Surgery. The scholar’s main responsibilities include developing study protocols and managing IRB proposals, assisting with grant proposal development and submissions, and assisting with project management and dissemination including writing manuscripts.
The successful candidate will have a track record of productivity in research, and have the talent, energy, passion, commitment and potential to take advantage of the vast resources available at the #1 ranked University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong reference letters are required.
