Position Description
Mansfield University's Department of Health Sciences seeks applicants for temporary full and part-time instructor positions in Health and Physical Education courses as they arise. This temporary three-year pool will be utilized to hire temporary positions that occur in Health and Physical Education courses from April 16, 2019 through April 16, 2022. Health and Physical Education Course(s) may include fitness, exercise science, and health related courses.

The Department of Health Sciences Department prepares students for the health care careers needed today and tomorrow. Our nursing, nutrition, radiology, respiratory care, and community health education programs provide students with skills, knowledge, and experience to become health care leaders of tomorrow. Examples of Duties
Teaching responsibilities include fitness, exercise science, and health-related courses. Hired faculty members will work closely with others to develop curriculum, assess student learning outcomes, and participate in departmental, professional unit, and university activities. Course offerings are contingent upon sufficient enrollment.

Qualifying Experience/Education
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Exercise Science, Physical Education, or a related field required.
Certifications may be required for teaching certain classes, i.e. faculty hired to teach CPR must be certified as an American Heart Association Instructor. Proof of certification must be provided.
Preferred Qualifications:
Academic specialization relevant to course(s) vacancy
Prior teaching experience relevant to course(s) vacancy
Prior work experience relevant to course(s) vacancy
Online or face-to- face teaching experience.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations desired.
