Job Description

The Cytometry and Cell Sorting Core at Baylor College of Medicine is looking for a highly motivated individual to work with the core directors to help define and lead the Advanced Cytometry Unit. The position will be responsible for advanced multiparametric study coordination for the unit. This will include the organization of meetings between users, the bioinformatician, the technical specialists, and the antibody bank specialist. These meetings will be held to assist the users in selecting the most appropriate instrument for their goals, help them design the most effective antibody panels, establish the experimental protocol, and assist with data acquisition, analysis and interpretation. The position will also coordinate with staff in the Human Tissue Acquisition and Pathology Core for staining of tissue sections for the Hyperion and with staff within the Optical Imaging and Vital Microscopy Core for enhanced image analysis as needed. Finally, the position will be cross-trained for use of all multiparametric analyzers and antibody conjugation to better serve the users.
