The Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine, is pleased to announce a neurologist vacancy at Texas Children’s Hospital Main Campus. The academic appointment at Assistant Professor (tenure track), will be in the Section of Pediatric Neurology & Developmental Neuroscience. 

As of 2018 our Pediatric Neurology program is ranked #3 with US News and World Report. As a member of The National Association of Epilepsy Centers, our Level 4 Epilepsy program includes a 12 bed EMU as well as MEG, PET, SPECT and TMS services. Our hospitals located in Houston Texas, provide Pediatric Emergency Centers staffed by physicians who are board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine; acute care inpatient units staffed by Pediatric Hospitalists; and intensive care units staffed by Pediatric Critical Care specialists. A large cohort of pediatric subspecialists provide inpatient and outpatient services at all locations (Main Campus, West Campus, and Woodlands). Located in the heart of the world's largest medical center (Texas Medical Center). 

This junior level 95% clinical faculty member will serve 5% administrative leadership as the Stroke Clinic Medical Director at the Main Campus location. The patient base will be General Neurology and those with stroke injury or focus. In addition to outpatient service this candidate will participate with in-patient service responsibility rotations. 

Position Qualifications: 

  • Minimum Education: M.D. or equivalent. 
  • Minimum Certification/Licensure: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board; obtainable upon hire offer 
  • Board certified/eligible Diversity
