Location - TCH Pavilion for Women and The Woodlands Clinic 

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a qualified candidate to practice one day per week in The Woodlands Clinic and two days a week at Pavilion for Women for a total of .60 FTE. The chosen candidate will perform psychiatric evaluations and management of outpatients, and will be helping to increase Texas Children’s telehealth psychiatry presence in the community. Candidate may potentially deliver telehealth services to TCH pediatrics in Houston or Austin. Candidate will be fully credentialed to manage patients admitted to the Ob service (but managed by psychiatry consultants) who are offered post partum depression brexanalone. Candidate will provide psychological services to patients primarily in the areas of assessment, research and education related to women’s mental health 


  • Conducts psychological evaluations of patients. 
  • Provides individual therapy to patients. 
  • Leads group therapy. 
  • Assists in the development of research programs and collection of data. 
  • May lecture to Obstetrics and Gynecology residents and fellows. 
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  Education Required: Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Psychology or Counseling.  Experience: 

  • Required: Three years of directly related experience in women’s mental health including pregnancy, postpartum depression, infertility, menopause 
  • Experience in female sexuality helpful but not required 
  • Skilled in Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy 

Certification/Licenses/Registration Required: Licensure as a Psychologist or Professional Counselor by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists or the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, respectively.
