Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas has an opening for a faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor in the body imaging division. We seek a Board Certified/Board Eligible radiologist with a fellowship in abdominal/body imaging. The position is in a hybrid setting, providing coverage to a level 1 trauma center, as well as outpatient imaging centers and two smaller community hospitals.
The department works with the radiology residency at the Baylor College of Medicine, which has 48 residents. We seek an individual with strong clinical skills as well as an interest in training residents, and performing research. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in interpretation of body CT, MRI, ultrasound, plain film, and fluoroscopy. Some light interventional procedures may be required.
The faculty position includes participation in an internal night coverage system, and includes both staffing of residents as well as coverage of the community hospitals. Occasional weekend day coverage is also included in the faculty call pool.
Baylor is located in the Texas Medical Center. Our facilities contain multiple equipment vendors and include dual energy CT scanner and 3T MRI. Candidates must have completed an ACGME accredited residency and have fellowship training in abdominal/body imaging. An unrestricted Texas medical license is required.
