Saint Mary's College seeks to hire a per-course adjunct faculty member to teach Art 101, Digital Drawing and Animation, in the undergraduate program in Spring 2020.

Tuesdays, 3:00-6:15pm

This course will focus on digital drawing and various animation techniques, which will include line drawing and digital coloring as well as basic animation skills. Students will explore both paperless animation and time-based techniques, using a variety of 2D and 3D materials, as well as video, performance and sound. Students will be required to complete a solo animation short and a group assignment. Students' animation shorts can be submitted to the Bay Area Student Shorts Film Festival held at Saint Mary's College.

This course satisfies the Artistic Understanding (Creative Practice) requirement of the Core Curriculum.


A minimum of three years of college teaching experience as well as experience teaching this course is required. MFA preferred.
