ACCTG 204, Governmental and Not for Profit Accounting

Winter Quarter 2020, 01/11/2020-03/21/2020, 2 sections, Moraga campus:

1) Every second Saturday 8:30 AM-12:30 PM and online every Monday 7:00-9:00 PM

2) Every second Saturday 1:00 to 5:00 PM and online every Wednesday 7:00-9:00 PM

This course focuses on the accounting and financial reporting issues of governmental units, not-for-profit organizations, colleges and universities, and some health care entities. The course covers fund accounting and financial reporting for state and local units under GASB Statement No. 34 and not-for-profit accounting principles.

Minimum: MBA in accounting, CPA, active practitioner.

Preferred: Ph.D. in accounting that meets the definition of scholarly academic per AACSB guidelines or Practice Academic.

Must have recent experience teaching governmental and not for profit accounting and submit student evaluations with application.
