Job Summary
Chemical Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Research Manager. This position will involve coordinating CyTOF core operations as directed by the principal investigator.

These duties will include serving as a contact for CyTOF users and potential collaborators as well as streamlining CyTOF core operations by developing and implementing a more efficient scheduling system. This position will also involve performing independent research for academic publication and presentation at conferences. Potential research projects include, but are not limited to, whole-cell biocatalysis, protein-assembly engineering, T cell immunotherapy and T cell epitope mapping. This position will also involve managing ongoing research projects in the lab to promote efficient lab practices to accelerate research progress. This will include serving as the point of contact for instrument maintenance in the lab.

Required Qualifications*
Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering and of 5 years of relevant research experience.
Significant protein engineering experience required, including extensive experience expressing and purifying human proteins from insect cell cultures using baculovirus expression system.
Experience culturing and activating T cell hybridoma and familiarity with T cell activation assays.
Candidates should have strong leadership and interpersonal skills as the position will involve coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
Desired Qualifications*
Desired candidates should be able to independently analyze samples using a flow cytometer and should be familiar with yeast cell surface display, whole-cell biocatalysis, and recombinant protein design and purification. Also, strong writing and public speaking skills are desired for presenting research results.
