Job Description

Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work under the supervision of Andriy Marusyk on interdisciplinary
research projects focused on the evolution of resistance to targeted therapies at Moffitt Cancer Center.

The projects will be done in collaboration with the Jake Scott lab from Cleveland Clinic as well as members of Moffitt’s department of Integrative Mathematical Oncology, the Center of Excellence in Evolutionary Therapies, and the Lung Cancer Center of Excellence.

The projects will be centered on:
• using functional genomic screens and candidate based approaches to identify collateral sensitivities associated with evolving/evolved resistance.
• understanding the evolutionary trajectories leading to drug resistance in cancer cells.
• development of evolutionarily informed therapies.

The Ideal Candidate:
• Background in experimental biology with knowledge of basic cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
• Strong interest in interdisciplinaryresearch.
• Experience with functional genomics and basic bioinformatics skills is preferred, but not strictly required.

Credentials and Qualifications:
• MD or PhD
