Job Description


This role will oversee and maintain audio-visual equipment/systems and provide IT technical support and project management in the Duncan Neurological Research Institute.

Job Responsibilties
  • Provide IT technical support and project management
  • Provide IT technical support and related project management, to include desktop support, server/bandwidth upgrades, software and hardware upgrades
  • Manage building software licenses with regular survey to verify need and use
  • Organize and schedule wifi accessibility surveys, systems evaluations, informatics reviews, and training
  • Manage IT operations including policies/procedures development, procurement, infrastructure, data capture, migration tools, and related techniques and strategies
  • Conduct capacity planning and scheduling, including strategic planning/budgeting 
  • Manage IT audio visual equipment, resources and supplies
  • Operate, maintain and provide technical support for audiovisual systems, including multimedia systems, cameras (analog / digital), monitors, projectors, etc
  • Lead regular user training and provide on-site support for lectures, presentations, and special events
  • Maintain and update equipment inventory database and service agreements, interface with equipment manufacturers as required
  • Evaluate equipment and identify opportunities for improvement and integration
  • Detect, diagnose and resolve issues including AV, hardware / software, storage, connectivity, and compatibility issues
  • Provide onsite meeting support including PC / Mac / Bluetooth connections, Zoom / Skype / and other video and audio conferencing systems, ensuring conference room technology assets are functioning properly
  • Act as technical representative, resource, consultant, and/or intermediary
  • Respond to the needs and questions of the user community
  • Establish and maintain internal / external relationships with stakeholders, resources, vendors, project managers, network engineers and risk management
  • Analyze challenges including client and work group, or project team-identified issues
  • Provide technical consultation on the purchase, use, installation and integration of audiovisual and technology/equipment and systems
  • Stay current with software, hardware, and audiovisual technologies
  • Augments the Help Desk as required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information science / technology / systems, film / audiovisual production 
  • Required: Four years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: Three (3) years of audiovisual or film production technology experience.  Five (5) years of film production, telemedicine, or audiovisual experience.
  • Required: Certified A+ Professional or Microsoft Certified Professional.

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency with audiovisual equipment and editing
