The Division of Biostatistics in the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting to fill tenure-track and tenured positions at the level of Assistant, Associate Professor and/or Full Professor. We seek biostatisticians with a strong academic record to join our group of faculty and professional staff members and to contribute to our active research, collaboration and education programs. Central to the mission of the Division are long-term collaborations with other research groups for the application and translation of novel methods to real data. We prefer those with strong interest and skill in conducting statistical and data science analyses as part of a collaborative team of diverse scientists. Interest in developing novel statistical methods with translational applications is a bonus. Leadership opportunities and responsibilities are commensurate with experience and rank.
Faculty in our Division are currently actively involved in research programs in the areas of clinical trials, as well as -omics, integrative -omics, and statistical software development. Members also direct quantitative service cores as parts of Centers and large multi-project grants. The BCM Graduate School of Biomedical Science has recently re-organized its degree programs and curricula, with much greater emphasis on quantitative sciences. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to participate in teaching activities, develop new courses as the quantitative curriculum matures, and mentor trainees.
