Job Description

A post-doctoral fellow position in bioinformatics and computational biology are immediately available for recent Ph.D. graduates in quantitative disciplines including bioinformatics, statistics, mathematics, physics, or other related fields. The research focuses are: i) Development of statistical and machine learning approaches for the optimization, analysis and interpretation of high-throughput CRISPR functional screen data. ii) Integration of genomic data and high-throughput functional screens to understand transcriptional and epigenetic regulations. A successful candidate will work closely with experimental biologists to use his/her computational expertise to leverage the information from internal and public datasets. The candidate must have a first or co-first authored publication in a highly regarded scientific journal and demonstrated ability of independent research. The candidate must be proficient at written and spoken English. Strong programming skills is preferred in at least one of the following languages: R, Python, Perl, C&C++, and Java. This position is located at the Science Park campus in Smithville, Texas.
