As a member of the National Association of Epilepsy Centers, our Level 4 program includes a 12 bed EMU as well as MEG, PET, SPECT and TMS services. Our hospitals located in Houston Texas, provide Pediatric Emergency Centers staffed by physicians who are board certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine; acute care inpatient units staffed by Pediatric Hospitalists; and intensive care units staffed by Pediatric Critical Care specialists. A large cohort of pediatric subspecialists provide inpatient and outpatient services at all locations (Main Campus, West Campus, and Woodlands).

The Section of Pediatric Neurology & Developmental Neuroscience, Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine, is pleased to announce vacancies at Texas Children’s Hospital Main Campus.  The academic appointment at Professor (tenured), will be in the Section of Pediatric Neurology & Developmental Neuroscience of the Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine. 

Job Responsibilities:

This Senior level, Professor (tenured) faculty appointment, will be located at Main Campus and will serve as Chief of the Blue Bird Circle Clinic for Pediatric Neurology.  


70% clinical effort will be devoted to assisting with in-patient call, fellows clinic, and reducing our wait list of patients for General Neurology.


30% administrative effort will be devoted to continuing to foster the continuous success with the Department of Pediatric Neurology's USNWR ranking and relative changes to our practice with Care First etc.

The candidate is expected to cultivate philanthropic donations and growth annually from the Blue Bird Circle as well as other external donors. It is expected that the incumbent will nurture and maintain positive relationships with all health center locations and administration in concert with the Director of Health Centers. 

Job Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: M.D. or equivalent. 
  • Minimum Certification/Licensure: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board; obtainable upon hire offer
  • Board certified/eligible
