Are you an experienced Support Analyst with the energy and motivation to lead a 2nd line support team at the University? Do you have a customer focussed ethos and the drive to see that embedded across the team? Are you committed to enabling your team to add value to the IT Service and University?
You will primarily be responsible for the operational leadership of the Application Support Business Services team within IT. Working with colleagues across IT, you will have responsibility for day to day leadership of colleagues through effective support, mentoring, coaching and management of workloads, You will act as a point of escalation, as well as being experienced in Application Support and Database Administration you will be able to guide, support and challenge colleagues in your team to ensure optimal resource allocation and prioritisation. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to lead and manage others in line with the University’s Leadership Excellence Behaviours framework.
You will have experience of supporting and maintaining both Applications and underlying Databases in a diverse technology landscape. This includes direct second line support and coordinating third line support from both internal and external suppliers to provide incident management, request fulfilment, problem management, change management and event management. You will be aware of the processes and standards required for effective Database Administration (DBA) enterprise wide. You will be experienced in effective resource management to balance supply against demand for both service operation and projects. Your passion for customer service excellence will underpin your technical experience in enabling the organisation’s key capabilities.
