Job Purpose

The Project Coordinator II in the BCM Infectious Diseases Section will primarily be responsible for developing and implementing educational and research projects in the BCM Infectious Diseases Section. This position will have dedicated duties for programs/projects for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funded grant for the South Central AIDS Education and Training Center (SCAETC). 

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversees the development and implementation of a project.
  • Review records and reports of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified project objectives; recommends modifications to methods or procedures as required to redirect activities and ensure that objective is attained.
  • Prepares recurring program reports for management use.
  • May participate in preparing grant proposals to federal agencies and private foundations.
  • May develop databases for the research or administrative project.
  • Participates in planning meetings at the inception of new research or administrative projects.
  • Analyzes data and makes recommendations.
  • Interacts with faculty, staff and students to promote the goals and objectives of the project.
  • May present project data and components to health care professionals.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Required: High School graduate/GED.
Experience:
  • Required: Three years of directly related experience.
