Job Description
The Accounting Analyst is responsible for various reconciliations of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis as well as reviewing and approving various expense transactions.

Qualifications
• Applicants must have a minimum of a two-year degree in Accounting, excellent communication skills (both oral and written), organizational and analytical skills.

• Proficient with Excel and Word are required.

Job Specific Qualifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools is required.

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials is preferred.

Responsibilities
• Reconciles numerous bank accounts to the General Ledger on a monthly basis.

• Reconciles advance deposit accounts associated with student receivables, the student refunds clearing account, and the suspense returned checks account.

• Reviews and approves (preaudits) expense documents to be charged to unrestricted chartstrings: purchase requisitions, Interdepartmental Orders, and student grants. In addition, provides back up for review and approval of expenses for restricted gift chartstrings: employee/non-employee expense vouchers, travel vouchers, purchase requisitions, procurement card reconciliations frequently throughout the year when needed.

• Reviews, approves, enters, and posts interdepartmental order forms in the General Ledger that are received from campus and that are entered by Lubin House.

• Reviews and approves stipend forms to be charged to unrestricted chartstrings, forwarding them to the appropriate department to be included in the students’ financial aid packages, forwarding them to Disbursements for payment, and entering them into the department log to assist in monitoring the work flow for the documents.

• This position reviews and approves grants for student financial aid.
