The Performing Arts Department requires a part time faculty member to teach and direct the Sports Band in Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. Perfa 19-09, Sports Band.

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 pm

This Per Course Adjunct Faculty Member will serve as the musical advising instructor for Sports Band, with duties including assessment of students' skills, assistance with musical arranging for the instrumentation that is available, and supporting student leadership development. The instructor will also work collaboratively with the Athletics Department, including a staff director of Sports Band and an Associate Athletic Director for Marketing, as they plan and implement schedules and logistics for Sports Band performances.


2-3 years music education experience, preferably at the collegiate level, and a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Music in music, skilled player in one or more instruments, demonstration of musical arranging and assessment skills.
