Job Summary
The Purdue College of Liberal Arts is seeking an additional professional to join the student advising team. This role will be responsible to administer career planning services to assist students in reaching their academic and career focused goals as well as advise students and alumni regarding internships and career placement. Build and maintain relationships with prospective employer organizations; coordinate on campus outreach opportunities for employers. Deliver student programming, workshops, seminars, and other experiential learning opportunities. Will additionally oversee the College of Liberal Arts Career Center student group. May utilize online programs to publicize career services and connect students to alumni and professionals.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Two or more years of experience or more in academic advising, student services, student affairs, career development, counseling, teaching, advising or related
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain the highest level of customer service
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and establish priorities and collaborate with faculty, staff, current and prospective students, and parents
Basic skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
