It is a great time to join the University of Leeds IT Service. We are making significant investment in our infrastructure and services, and effective project and programme delivery is key.  You will have responsibility for the IT PMO team and its outputs, working in partnership with the IT leadership team to develop this critical capability.

You will lead and manage a team of PMO Analysts, Project Managers and Programme Managers engaged in the full spectrum of Project and Programme delivery. 

Working across the University you will work with key stakeholders involved in IT-enabled changed, University-wide portfolio and project delivery governance and internal IT teams to drive the improvement and delivery of a high-quality, high-value and customer-focussed IT PMO service. 

You will develop best practice across the full range of P3O standards and processes whilst continuing to develop the internal capability of the PMO team, continually improving its effectiveness and efficiency, and future-proofing the Function as we adapt to new methods of delivery.

You will work with all change areas including: BRMs, Architects, Business Analysts, Developers and Testers, Service Transition and the wider IT Service, to develop an integrated, flexible process for project and programme delivery. You will also work closely with IT Service Management teams, monitoring activity throughout and post-implementation ensuring projects minimise impact to Service and sustainably deliver the original requirements and objectives.

This is a key role in the delivery of a broad and exciting portfolio of IT-enabled projects and programmes across all areas of the University from cutting-edge Research and Academic support to Student Education and other corporate services.  As a member of the IT Leadership team you will be influential in not only the successful delivery of projects and programmes, but in the ongoing development and delivery of the IT Strategy.
