Job Description

Job Purpose

Performs professional compensation work in the administration of Baylor College of Medicine's salary administration program for staff employees.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyzes proposed pay adjustments received from departments and makes recommendations.
  • Analyzes requests on job titles and salary grade assignments and makes recommendations.
  • Participates in salary surveys and analyzes survey results.
  • Assists in the annual maintenance of the job classification system and the preparation of the annual salary budget.
  • Reviews and approves requests in SuccessFactors.
  • Counsels departmental personnel liaisons on the College's compensation practices and procedures.
  • Researches and interprets the College's compensation related policies and state and federal laws; conducts periodic audits of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) designation of positions.
  • Creates ad hoc reports requested by the departments.
  • Participates in a variety of compensation related special projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
Experience:
  • Required: Two years of relevant experience.
Certification/Licenses/
Registration:
  • Preferred: Certification as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
