Principal Investigator (PI) will be responsible for supervising the activities of the project team and coordinating the work of the consultants and advisors. S/he will maintain contact with the funding agency and will be responsible for timely submission of quarterly and annual reports. S/he will oversee all project activities, implement quality control measures, monitor fiscal management, and assure adherence with commitments described in the proposal. PI will meet regularly with all study contributors to assure that implementation of the study is smooth and that project objectives are met in a timely manner. S/he will conduct weekly meetings with the RA, bi-weekly meetings with the investigative team, and regular meetings with the community advisors (quarterly in Years 1 and 3, semi-annually in year 2). PI will work closely with the research assistant and the project statistician on the development and maintenance of the databases and the scoring and consolidation of data in preparation for analysis. S/he will work with the statistician and the investigative team to analyze and interpret the data and disseminate findings to consumer (e.g., fact sheets) and professional (i.e., national conferences, peer-reviewed journals) audiences. In the final months of the funding period, PI will work with the investigators and CAB members to identify critical next steps to move the research forward and will work with the team to identify potential strategies for addressing the issues revealed to be of greatest need.
