Position Description:
The University of Northern Iowa invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Computer Science to begin August 2020. The department seeks candidates able to teach and conduct an ongoing research program in their area of expertise, as well as to participate broadly in the CS curriculum. Candidates conducting research in a systems area, such as networking, operating systems, and system security, will be given preference.

Education Requirements:
Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline required.

Required Qualifications:
Required qualifications include ability to build and sustain a research program in their area of expertise that engages undergraduates; ability to develop and teach advanced courses in their area of expertis; ability to participate broadly in the computer science curriculum; and ability to advise and supervise undergraduate students.




Desirable Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include research expertise in a systems area, such as networking, operating systems, and system security and ability to develop and teach courses in a systems area.
