Position Summary:
Position Title: Tenure Track Faculty – Quality Systems
The Department of Engineering Technologies in the College of Technology, Architecture & Applied Engineering is seeking to fill a full time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, in the areas of Quality Systems/Systems Engineering including statistical quality control, reliability systems, lean systems, and systems engineering in general.



Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach and develop undergraduate and graduate level courses in Quality Systems/Systems Engineering areas
- Conduct research that leads to peer-reviewed publications in Quality Systems/Systems Engineering
- Conduct cutting edge research that is supported by external funding
- Provide appropriate service to the department, college, university, and the profession
Minimum Qualifications & Salary:
Minimum Qualifications
- A doctoral degree in quality engineering, industrial and systems engineering, or very closely related discipline. ABD candidates will be considered but must complete their Ph.D. by the position start date.
- Evidence of undergraduate/graduate teaching in Quality Systems/Systems Engineering areas

Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in teaching and developing undergraduate/graduate courses at the university level
- Experience in online teaching
- At least 2 years of industry experience in Quality related role
- Evidence of peer-reviewed publications and external funding in Quality Systems/Systems Engineering areas

Expected Start Date: August 2020.
