Job Summary
The Department of Physics invites applications for a two semester Visiting Assistant Professor in Physics beginning August 2020. The candidate will teach a 12-hour load of undergraduate courses in physics each semester (equivalent to a mix of 3 to 4 lower and possibly upper division undergraduate courses and introductory labs). Depending on candidate qualifications, the successful candidate may teach special topical classes.

Requirements are a Ph.D. (or A.B.D) in Physics, Astronomy, or Materials Science and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Position is contingent upon available funding and satisfactory background check.

The Physics Department offers a B.S. degree in Physics (with five concentrations: Biomedical, Materials Science, Optoelectronics and Photonics, Engineering, and Computational/Mathematical). We have a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and involvement of students in research.
