Saint Mary's College of California is recruiting a reader to assist the Admissions Committee in reading and evaluating applications for admission to our undergraduate programs. The work will range from 10 to 20 hours per week and will include a training session on campus and reading applications (off campus) the remainder of the time.


• Review and evaluate approximately 60 to 70 applications a week.
• Exercise professional judgment in reviewing, evaluating, and recommending applicants for admission using established guidelines.
• Review applicants' transcripts, letters of recommendation and essays, and standardized test scores.
• Enter specified metrics (i.e. GPA, Test Scores..) and notes that speak to applicants' strengths or weaknesses into the Applicant Review Reader Form (SLATE CRM)

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to read between 10 to 20 hours each week
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of information
• Knowledge of the Admissions process in Higher Education
