Job Description
A Postdoctoral Fellowship position is available at Department of Radiation Physics, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, USA.
Candidates should hold a PhD degree in Physics.
Experience in radiation transport codes using the Monte Carlo technique is required, Geant4 preferable. In addition the ideal candidate should have proven experience in Solid-state physics, with emphasis on X-ray diffraction calculation methods. Experience with CAD software such as Solidworks is highly desirable. Due to the cross-disciplinary nature of the research, experience with multiphysics simulation software such as COMSOL is also desirable. Working knowledge in scripting languages such as Python and MatLab are desirable.
The appointed postdoctoral fellow will work with a team of highly accomplished physicists on the development of a novel radiation therapy delivery system.
This position is renewable annually upon satisfactory performance. The pay scale follows the current NIH postdoc salary standard.
