Job Description The Associate provides technical and clerical support for the College Relations department as well as assist in carrying out design and publication.
Description of Duties/Selection Criteria Provide technical support to the administrators, including, but not limited to, production of publications, advertising, social media assets, posters, etc.
Maintain assets for digital platforms including website, plasma screen, and social media.
Coordinate with internal printing services and external printing vendors.
Under direction of the supervisor, coordinate with external freelancers on design projects.

Support the operation of the department.
Interact and provide primary information to as requested by other departments.
Assist department staff with production, marketing materials, program, marketing initiatives.
Open, sort and distribute mail, prepare mailings as required, post and/or record information consistent with established guidelines, maintain the office calendar, maintain appropriate files and records.

Work with marketing department on projects including traditional and digital advertising, website, social media and publications.
Help develop copy for advertising and communications.
Assist various departments in the College with the marketing needs.

Perform related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.

Two years of related experience.
Experience working as a designer in a marketing department desirable.

Outstanding communications skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Proficient in Adobe design software, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphic design applications.
Demonstrable skills in layout and design of print and digital assets.
Ability to work well under pressure and with sensitivity to deadlines.
Computer literacy skills at an intermediate level with the demonstrated ability to utilize and apply Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as specialized software programs and computer applications.
Ability to learn and apply office practices, procedures, policies, and regulations that are essential to the position.
Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations (i.e. overtime, expertise in, physical requirements, flexible in schedule, travel, preferred qualifications, etc) Knowledge of Monmouth County and its communities preferred.
