Job Summary
The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Cleveland State University invites applications for multiple Lecturer / Visiting Professor / Professor of Practice positions in computer science with the rank as Assistant or Associate depending on credentials. The positions begin on August 19th, 2019 or January 6th, 2020.

Responsibilities include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level, student advising, and curriculum development for both lecture and lab courses. The teaching requirement is between 12 and 16 credit hours (four or five courses) per semester. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Opportunities for summer teaching with additional compensation might also be available.

The actual type of position will depend upon credentials. After the first year, the College Lecturer and Professor of Practice position will be annually renewable for five additional years based on satisfactory performance, programmatic needs, and university finances. After a sixth-year review, they will be eligible for two successive three-year appointments, followed by six-year appointments. Visiting professor position may be renewed twice for a total of three years.

computer science or a closely related field.
2) Ability to teach and interact with both
undergraduate and graduate students.
3) Good communication skills.

science or a closely related field.
2) Teaching experience.
3) Industrial experience.
4) The ability to contribute through
teaching and/or service to the diversity,
cultural sensitivity, and excellence of
the academic community.
