Job Description

Position Overview:
The Academic Program Coordinator (APC) for the Department of Community and Environmental Health (CEH) works with a diverse team of faculty and staff. This position coordinates and maintains systems to effectively implement, assess, improve, and evaluate CEH curriculum, including programmatic procedures and processes.

This position will ensure that CEH academic programs meet goals and objectives and accreditation standards and will coordinate assessment and evaluation, course scheduling, curriculum proposals, and database management. Additionally, the APC will facilitate meetings within the department related to curriculum, coordinate the student scholarship process, and serve as the curriculum content expert for communication and engagement activities.

The successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically and to make informed decisions based in evidence; have excellent written and oral communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment; comfort working through change; use a data-driven approach to decision making; have experience in database creation and management; and knowledge of accreditation and curriculum assessment and evaluation.

Duties and Responsibilities
Program Administration: 50%
Coordinate the development and implementation of processes and workflow, communication and documentation related to academic programs, including scheduling, monitoring waitlists, concurrent enrollment, capacity and enrollment management, multi-year class schedule rotation plan, class scheduling and curriculum coordination.
Manage the development and monitoring of 2+2’s and other educational memorandums of understanding.
Coordinate the curriculum committees and UCC processes
Manage interaction and serve as point of contact with College and University advising, registrar’s office related to applications, AR, program and course management systems, and degree tracker.
Manage student scholarship process.
Assessment, Evaluation, and Data Management: 45%
Create reports and analyze data for strategic planning, enrollment management, accreditation, program review, and assessment(s) utilizing various software including PeopleSoft, Data Warehouse, and Digital Measures.
Create, maintain, and use databases to store and retrieve data and information for program use in everyday applications as well as accreditation, program review, and/or assessment{s) functions.
Implement and recommend operating methods to improve processing, distribution, data flow, collection and database editing procedures.
Responsible for making data accessible and user friendly to faculty and staff.
Other projects or duties as assigned: 5%


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum or Instruction; Public Health, Health Science or other related field; Business; or other related field.
2 years of relevant program coordination experience in a university setting.
Must have strong leadership skills as this position oversees and coordinates multiple aspects of the curriculum.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively as a member of a diverse team.
Advanced knowledge of and experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office products, publishing software
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Education, Curriculum or Instruction; Public Health, Health Science or other related field; Business; or other related field.
Experience or training in organizing and facilitating meetings, preferably in Technology of Participation (ToP) methods
1 year experience in educational program assessment review.
Experience with PeopleSoft, data warehouse, and program and course management systems.
The successful candidate will possess the interest, experience, and/or ability to promote cultural competency and/or diversity.
