South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is seeking a Senior Research Engineer. The Senior Research Engineer must have demonstrated ability to conduct successful engineering/scientific research in polymer and/or polymer composite processing and property characterization, and knowledge, familiarity and hands on experience with polymer processing equipment and characterization methods (rheological, thermal, microscopic, spectroscopic, etc.). The successful candidate will be strongly motivated, be an intellectually creative team player, and possess willingness to interact effectively with corporate and government clients. Additionally, the selected candidate must be capable and motivated to work on multiple projects in a range of established and developing research areas and have the ability to collaborate on writing research proposals. Good written and presentation skills are required.

A PhD in Materials Engineering/Science, Polymer Engineering/Science, Chemical Engineering or related field is required.
