Job Description

Part time faculty needed to teach courses in the Early Childhood Education program. Duties include teaching, assisting with curriculum development, assessments, lab/classroom maintenance, student advising. Preference given to those with related industry credentials.

Western Colorado Community College, WCCC, is a division of Colorado Mesa University. WCCC offers community education courses and a range of certificate and associate degree programs.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.


Minimum of 4000 hours (approximately 2 years’ full time) of related occupational experience within the past 7 years. Degree in related content area desirable but not required.

10,000 hours (approximately 5 years’ full time) of related occupational experience within the past 7 years. Majority of experience hours must include working as a lead teacher with at least 1 year as a director/assistant director in an early education facility.
