Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach all levels of ballet and modern dance technique, including partnering, pointe, and contemporary repertory.
Teach beginning to intermediate jazz, tap or musical theatre dance courses.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Contribute to BA dance curriculum and either BFA Dance Performance or Dance Science concentrations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MFA at time of appointment in August 2020 in dance (choreography, pedagogy or performance) or commensurate professional experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ballet and modern teaching experience at the university level, choreography and professional performance experience.
Other desired skills include other additional dance experience not listed. For example: dance media or dance for camera; and/or experience in a somatic discipline or dance science competency; and/or dance styles not previously listed; and/or community dance or interdisciplinary dance courses.
