Summary

The Section of Cardiology in the Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine seeks to recruit a full-time Pediatric Congenital heart surgeon at The Children's Hospital of San Antonio.  The position will be recruited at the Assistant, Associate or Professor rank based on experience and qualifications.

Job Duties

Responsibilities will be assigned by the Vice Chair or Section Head and may be altered in response to changing Departmental and Division needs. Candidate will be expected admit, evaluate, diagnose and provide consultation to patients at The Children's Hospital of San Antonio. Candidates will provide medical and surgical care to patients, including pre- and post-operative care, to correct or treat various conditions of the heart and related blood vessels including open and closed heart procedures, and complete care of critically ill patients with underlying surgical conditions in the emergency department, pediatric intensive care unit, and trauma unit. They will also manage congenital cardiac malformation in neonates, children and adults.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess an MD, MD/PhD or DO from an accredited medical school (or eligible for same) and or be eligible to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License.
