Description:Faculty responsibilities:

The Biology Department seeks a Visiting Professor with relevant teaching experience to teach courses in: (1) Introduction to Cell and Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (BIOL 1 lectures and labs) and (2) Genetics (BIOL 105 lecture). Over the course of the year, the workload will include three lectures, three labs, and coordinating instruction and setup across multiple sections of BIOL 1 labs. Expected departmental service will include academic advising of Biology majors. Opportunities will be available for supervising undergraduate research projects, but this will not be required. This is a one-year position, possibly renewable for a second year.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a closely-related discipline and a demonstrated record of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level. Teaching experience in courses similar to those included in this position is preferred.
