Job Description

Summary

The Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center is currently seeking an Instructor/Clinician.  The clinician role:

  1. Covers inpatient Oncology patients for 12 hour shifts in the daytime. Works as part of team including Attending Oncologist and Hematology-Oncology fellow to provide care for current and new inpatients on acute care floor.
  2. Participates in multidisciplinary rounds including medical, nursing and pharmacy personnel to provide optimal patient care.
  3. Provides all patient care for assigned patients including but not limited to daily rounding/notes, calling consults, non-chemotherapy order writing, completing admission and discharge paperwork.
  4. Participates in twice daily signout process with oncoming/offgoing teams
Minimum Qualifications
  1. M.D. or equivalent degree
  2. Board certified or board eligible for General Pediatric boards
  3. Prior to employment start date must obtain Texas Medical License and Drug Enforcement Administration registration
