Job Description

Are you an academic with proven abilities to carry out teaching in Chinese Language and Studies? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a Russell Group University?

As a Lecturer in Chinese, you will carry out teaching and teaching-related scholarship that contributes to our existing undergraduate programme in Modern Chinese Studies (at all levels). Depending on your expertise, you may also contribute to other modules within East Asian Studies and the wider School, and to supervising English-Chinese translation projects which are part of the Masters programmes offered by the Centre for Translation Studies.

You will have relevant language-teaching experience in 4-year undergraduate Chinese Studies programmes, commensurate with a Grade 7 post. Ideally, you will have a PhD in Chinese language pedagogy or a cognate field.
