Summary

The Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas is seeking a Chief of the Division of Bariatric Surgery.


The successful candidate will lead and participate in the growth and development of the Comprehensive Bariatric Surgery Center at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. Candidates must possess superb leadership skills as well as exceptional clinical expertise in bariatric surgery, with clearly demonstrated skills as well in education and research.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess (1) superb leadership skills; (2) A commitment to provide state-of-the-art patient focused clinical care (3) build a translational research team to study obesity and related diseases, and lead specialized training of physicians with an interest in minimally invasive surgical and medical treatments for obesity. Rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications.
