Job Description

Job Purpose

Oversees the administration of one or more education programs, including undergraduate, graduate, residency, fellowship, clerkship, continuing medical education, or other College-affiliated education program.

Job Duties
  • Oversees program changes; developing plans, timelines and documents as part of the updates.
  • Develops educational goals for the department and carries out activities to achieve these goals.
  • Serves as a liaison to CMS, and ensures that program requirements are met.
  • Develops and oversees the Residency budget.
  • Manages all graduate and undergraduate medical education programs for the department of Neurosurgery.
  • Directs annual recruitment activities.
  • Serves as a critical leader when executing all aspects of running a residency program; including the assessment and resolution of problems and issues, evaluation of physician performance, and management of external relations for education with multiple institutions.
     
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
     
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree. No experience required with Bachelor’s degree.
