Position Highlights The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) is seeking an Administrative Operations Professional for the newly created Business Center in the Social Sciences building. The Business Center provides business support to the School of Government & Public Policy, the Department of Philosophy, the Department of Political Economy & Moral Science, and the School of Sociology. The successful candidate will successful manage unit finances, grants, program fees and many other complex business and financial matters. It is important that the successful candidate be able to perform these tasks at a high level.
Business Center personnel in the College of SBS work to provide excellent business support to administrators, faculty, staff and students. They work in a collaborative environment to improve reporting processes and customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities
Works with the business staff of the business center to perform all day-to-day business functions in the units including, but not limited to, disbursements, account maintenance and reconciliation, procurement, fund transfers, and purchasing card transactions.
Does financial budgeting, forecasting, and planning.
Performs HR functions such as personnel hiring, job and employee data changes, leaves and termination processing, payroll, etc.
Manages UA Foundation financial activities.
Prepares timely and accurate financial reports to meet the needs to the Heads/Directors, Program Directors, and Principal Investigators.
Works with faculty and students on grants and other financial matters.
Contributes to the flow of work in the business center for maximum cohesion and efficiency.
Establishes efficient business practices and keeps informed on all rules, regulations, policies, systems, and procedures.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Experience utilizing financial processing and data management systems
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is typically required.

Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Business Administration or Accounting, or similar field.
