Job Summary:

The University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Section of Emergency Medicine in conjunction with Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) is seeking PEMs committed to the care of acutely ill and injured children to staff our CHCO Network of Care (NOC). The CHCO NOC consists of 5 locations in the Denver metro area that provide emergency medicine and urgent care services to over 80,000 children annually. We are closely allied with our Level 1 ED located at the Anschutz Campus that sees an additional 70,000 pts annually.



There is an average of 4 shifts/week incorporating bedside teaching of medical students and residents; Emergency Medicine Section engagement through monthly meetings, continuing education/skills maintenance and participation in hospital Quality Improvement; and a fast-paced environment in which to use your knowledge of pediatric illness and injury patterns.




PLEASE NOTE: Candidates may be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.



Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications

Examples of Work Performed:

Provision of pediatric emergency care in the Children's Hospital Colorado Emergency Department possibility one or more of the satellite emergency departments and urgent care sites.
Teaching of house staff and medical students,
Referring facilities and physicians,
Transport teams, families and the broader community
Participation in and support of the clinical research activities of the Section of Emergency Medicine.
