Job Summary
The Department of Music at the University of Texas at Arlington is inviting applications for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor of Jazz Piano & Chamber Music at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach courses in Jazz Piano, Jazz Composition, and Chamber Music at both the Undergraduate and Graduate level.
• Actively recruit and maintain a vibrant Jazz Piano studio.
• Oversee, develop and grow the Jazz Chamber Music/Combo program.
• Maintain an active performance career commensurate with achieving tenure at a major Research University.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the Department of Music, the College of Liberal Arts, the University, and the profession through participation in committees, departmental activities, recruiting and other service
• Other duties may be assigned based on the candidate’s qualifications and the needs of the department

Required Qualifications
• Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Piano Performance or equivalent by time of appointment.
• Demonstrated record of excellence, or evidence for potential excellence, in teaching Jazz Piano and Chamber Music at the graduate and undergraduate levels
• Demonstrated record of excellence in performance or evidence of potential for excellence in performance.
