Summary

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a qualified physician leader to be the Medical Director of Obstetrics & Gynecology for The Center for Children and Women.

Job Duties

We are seeking an Ob/Gyn specialist leader who will collaborate with a team to provide best care and achieve quality metrics.

  • Oversees a team of 16 physicians and 7 midwives.
  • Collaborates with administrative partners in a shared leadership model.
  • Partners with other leaders to develop clinical and operational guidelines.
  • Oversees education of a variety of learners in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Coordinates with other Department leaders, makes presentations and represents The Centers on departmental, hospital and external committees/work groups and organizations.
  • Oversees on-going NCQA designation and quality improvement initiatives for both inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Provides comprehensive assessment, medical and surgical management for obstetric and gynecologic conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) OR completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology and eligible to sit for certification with the ABOG


Experience: Minimum 4 years experience in full-service obstetrics/gynecology practice; evidence of leadership experience/expertise


Required Certification/Licenses/Registration: Unrestricted license to practice medicine from the Texas Medical Board
